Alpine Snowboarding Courses
Our alpine Snowboarding courses cater for beginners to early intermediate level. We aim to promote this fantastic sport and give you a first class experience. Our instructors are BASI/ Snowsport Scotland qualified coaches who will help you reach your full potential in this fantastic sport.

|Never been on a snowboard before and would like to give it a go or you have had a very short session (half hour) and you want to do a bit more.||We will show you the basics of snowboarding including how to fasten your bindings, navigation of the snowboard flat area and safely travelling down our slope utilising different movements including straight running and side slipping.||Our main aim is for you to have a safe and fun time on our snowboard slope. By the end of the session you will be able to travel down our slope using a variety of manoeuvres with confidence.|

Equipment and Kit Information
Ancrum Centre will provide you with all equipment required when booking on any of our Ski courses. This includes skis, boots, poles, helmet and a full clothing set which includes ski jacket, salopettes, goggles and gloves. Customers are very welcome to use their own equipment and our staff are on hand to give you advice on suitability where required.
We do provide a ski/board repair service at the Centre if you want to get your equipment checked over by one of our highly qualified Ski Technicians. More details can be found at servicing section http://www.ancrum.com/ski-and-snowboard-servicing-pricing-structure.
We recommend that you wear a couple of thin base layer tops and leggings/ joggers, light weight outdoor trousers. Please do not wear jeans as they become very restrictive when wet and cold.
Transport / Travel / Daily Schedule
Our courses include return transport from Ancrum Centre to Glenshee in one of our fleet minibuses. Customers should arrive at Ancrum Centre for 8am for an expected arrival at the Ski resort for 9.30am. When you arrive at Glenshee, your instructor will issue kit to everyone and the group will make their way to ticket office where day tickets will be purchased and any toilet stop can be made prior to lesson. The lesson with your instructor will be for 2 hours and 30 minutes which will take you up to lunch time at around 12.30pm. You will then have a free ski time to do what you want for the afternoon period. All participants must return to the minibus for 3.45pm at the latest for departure and return to Ancrum Centre for around 5pm. The times outlined are our normal operating guidelines but may change depending on unforeseen circumstances.
