Safety

Many of our activities are overseen by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA). The Authority annually inspects the centre, checking the safety management system. The licence demonstrates compliance with nationally accepted standards of good practice in the delivery of adventure activities to young people.

Our instructors are experienced and their national governing body (NGB's) qualifications enable them to work a broad variety of activities. The maximum number of clients per group to instructor is 10 to 1. The ratio of staff to participants may vary, depending upon the activity and the nature of the group concerned. We provide equipment relevant for the activity to promote safe practice. During sessions the instructors use their experience to risk assess the environment, the group and relevant activities.
