Elie Chain Walk Activity
One of the unique features of the Fife Coast is the Elie Chain Walk. Chains are built into a section of the cliff west of Elie village, hugging the cliffs towards Kincraig Point and Shell Bay. This is a challenging part of the Fife Coastline, and has been enjoyed for many years. Our instructors will get you harnessed up as you go in a very exciting adventure journey whilst suspended at times to the cliff chains. Watch out for the big waves.
Essential Information
For your Adventure Day with Ancrum, you will meet us at our base at Ancrum Outdoor Centre for 9am start. A Parent or Guardian must attend the Centre to complete registration process and confirm emergency information is correct at drop off time and inform admin team of pick up arrangements. Our instructors will greet you, explain what is going to happen and then get you kitted out for your day of adventure. They will provide you with waterproofs, boots, helmet and harness. If you have your own kit, bring it along and the instructors will let you know if it’s suitable for the activity. Participants are encouraged to wear loose casual clothing, bring a towel, packed lunch and plenty to drink. When ready to leave the Centre, the group will head off in one of our mini buses to the adventure destination. If you are not a good traveller please make sure the instructor is informed.
