Led Cycle Rides in Dundee provide a supportive next step for participants who have recently completed Bikeability Scotland Level 2 training. These guided rides allow riders to confidently put their newly learned on‑road cycling skills into practice in real‑world settings, supported by experienced ride leaders from our Active Travel project.

The rides focus on using road positioning, junction skills and hazard awareness, helping participants build independence and confidence while exploring local streets, routes and shared paths around Dundee. They offer a relaxed and encouraging environment, ideal for reinforcing training and supporting everyday cycling for travel, health and wellbeing.

In addition to our regular progression rides, we also offer ad‑hoc led rides to support cyclathons, charity events and community cycling activities, helping participants ride safely while taking part in sponsored and social cycling events.

We also deliver led cycle rides during school holidays, offering young people opportunities to continue cycling in a safe and supportive way. These rides explore popular local destinations including Broughty Ferry, Camperdown Park and Tayport, helping participants build confidence, enjoy traffic‑free and on‑road routes, and discover new areas to cycle for leisure and everyday travel.
