Active Travel Litter‑Picking Sessions for Dundee Primary Schools
At Ancrum Outdoor Centre, our Active Travel team is passionate about helping young people care for their community and the environment. Our litter‑picking sessions give Dundee primary pupils the chance to make a real difference in their local area while learning about active travel, sustainability, and responsible citizenship.
During these hands‑on sessions, pupils are guided by our trained staff as they explore the school grounds or nearby walking routes, collecting litter safely using our provided equipment. Along the way, they discover why cleaner streets support safer, more enjoyable active travel - whether walking, wheeling or cycling to school.
Fun, engaging, and educational, our sessions help build pride in local spaces and encourage lifelong habits that benefit both wellbeing and the planet.
